The child's life is threatened due to the worsening eye disease. The father who is a farm laborer is struggling to find work in order to save his child's life. Unfortunately, those who need his services are not always there. Meanwhile, the child's condition is getting worse. He was forced to wait for 1 year for treatment.
"If the disease can be removed, I am willing to bear my child's illness rather than him suffering"
"I am confused, I can't do it anymore if I have to borrow money, I am ashamed, I have sold everything and now there is nothing left to sell" said Mr. Yayat
Mr. Yayat's youngest child, Ruhhi (3 years old) has experienced repeated trials. Since the age of 3 months he has had an abnormality in his left eye. Mr. Yayat and his wife considered it a normal disorder because there were no complaints from the child. However, since the age of 2 years old his eye disorder has worsened until his left eye hurts and he can no longer see. With a sense of panic, Mr. Yayat and his wife took him to the nearest hospital. Unexpectedly, the doctor diagnosed Ruhhi's illness as an unusual illness, then the local doctor referred her to a bigger hospital in Bandung Indonesia.
Since then, Mr. Yayat carried Ruhhi to the hospital by himself by public transportation for a distance of almost 100KM, countless times Mr. Yayat took his child back and forth until finally after the first chemo, Mr. Yayat ran out of supplies, even though he had sold his only beloved motorbike and for the fare he had borrowed money here and there. In the end, Mr. Yayat gave up hope.
In the end, Ruhhi was forced to stop her treatment until it was almost 1 year that Ruhhi had not received treatment. For the past 2 months, her illness has gotten worse, her eyes have become more bulging until fresh blood comes out, and the cries have been roaring non-stop from inside Mr. Yayat's almost collapsed house.
With a heavy heart, Mr. Yayat and his wife can only hope for a miracle to save their child without any additional debt. Mr. Yayat, who works as a farmer in the village, never thought Ruhhi's illness would be this serious. Every step he took felt heavy, but the hope of his beloved child's recovery gave him strength.
Sadly, Mr. Yayat's meager income, even with a side job in a neighbor's tobacco production, was still far from enough to cover hospital costs and pay off the BPJS contributions every month.
Oh #GoodPeople, Mr. Yayat and Ruhii cannot fight alone. They need our helping hand so they can continue with various actions for the operation.
Let's help Mr. Yayat's struggle to bring his child back for treatment by donating through this campaign!
